August 2026: the compliance library is live, 30 new guides across eight EU markets
Zeppol's job starts before the app does: helping you figure out what EU e-invoicing actually demands of your Shopify store. In August, zeppol.com grew from a sign-up page into a real reference library.
NewThe guide library. Sixteen guides answering the questions B2B merchants actually search for: what an e-invoice is, how XRechnung, ZUGFeRD and Factur-X differ, German VAT setup under §14 UStG, reverse charge and VIES checks, invoice email deliverability (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), what a Peppol Access Point is, and what ViDA 2030 means for your store.
Country guides for seven more markets. One page per country tells you whether the mandate applies to your store, the exact deadlines, and what to do: Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, France, Poland (KSeF), Italy (SdI) and Romania (e-Factura), joining the existing Germany coverage. Each page says plainly where Zeppol is and is not the route.
Five guides in German. For German merchants, in German: getting your e-invoice to your Steuerkanzlei via DATEV, choosing between XRechnung and ZUGFeRD, the receiving duty every German business already has since 2025, what really applies to Kleinunternehmer, and what a Peppol-ID is and costs.
Two Shopify VAT deep dives. How to set up VAT-exempt B2B customers properly, and the tax-included vs tax-excluded price setting, including the one-cent rounding break that tax-inclusive pricing can hand an e-invoice validator.
ImprovedThe EU B2B invoicing hub. The main overview now carries a mandate table for all eight markets plus ViDA, each row linking to its full country guide, so a cross-border seller sees every deadline in one place.
FixedCorrections, published openly. We re-checked the guides against primary sources and fixed what was wrong: Germany's retention period is eight years, not ten. The Netherlands page now reflects the cabinet's plan for phased mandatory B2B e-invoicing from 2030 to 2032. Spain's calendar is described as planned, not fixed.
A real page-not-found. A dead zeppol.com link used to silently show the homepage; it now shows a proper 404 so you know when a link is wrong.
The app is in build, aimed at Germany's January 2027 wave. Want in early? Join the early-access list on zeppol.com.
